Re: Ally's lease rates for July?

I just leased one. For an Overland V6 4x4 (imagine money factor and residual would change depending on trim and engine and 4x4 or 4x2), the factors were:

Money Factor: .00009 (or .23%)
Residual: 52% for 12k per year (53% for 10k, 50% for 15k)

This was through Chrysler Financial. The dealer said that Ally's rates were not competitive for July...

Hope this helps !

I guess Ally went in a different direction, so they upped the interest rate tremendously, but the residual on a 15K mile 3 year Overland lease was 59%, and gave a 2500 rebate, to help cover the large increase in interest.

Is Ally still adding a $2500 buy out fee, if you purchase the vehicle at lease end? They added that on my 2011 lease and for that reason, I will never lease thru Ally again.

No, they stopped that fee, I heard it was because of customer complaints.

@jeep5.7: Depends on different things, like how high your taxes are, etc, but your deal sounds reasonable at first glance. I am no expert on Jeep lease rates though.

I leased a Limited through Ally last week. You are exactly right their interest rate is very high. I believe the reason is that they are no more in agreement with Chrsyler. Ally considered as an IDL and there was a $3000 IDL rebate. I dont know the interest rate but 24 month 12k mile/year limited residual was 73%

I negotiated with dealer and agreed on a deal through Chrysler Capital. When I went to pick up the car they wanted me to go through Ally, higher interest rate higher residual same monthly price. May be I should have walked away but I didnt and I did it through Ally. I dont plan to purchase the car so it really doesnt matter for me. If you plan to purchase at the end of lease Ally is not good.

You can get a purchase rate around 1.89 for 72 months, why would you lease?

Because the lease rates for top tier credit are equivalent to 0.41%. :D
