'01 Cherokee Sport power door issues

Hello
I had a malfunction with the DDM drivers power door latch, power window issue until it was discovered a bad contact on the solenoid connector to the window motor.
Now the rub is the re-assembly. DDM works to control the windows and door lock BEFORE going back together again. But when the two control rods for the lock mechanism are attached and the door panel is re-attached, the door lock is frozen.
What is the correct re-assembly or adjustment. Does the battery need to be disconnected?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I had the same problem.. Is it the passenger power windows or all of the windows?

If it is the passenger windows, i took the switch out and just took the cap off of the window lock button.. See if the switches light up green or not.. If they dont after the panel is back on (except for the drivers switch), then your lock button is probably stuck..
I didnt disconnect the battery.. I just took the door panel off, took the wire clip out and took out the switch panel... Just be careful..
Take the cap off the window lock button and try it out before you go nuts spending tons of $$...

Check the wire with a test light too.. (Theyre like $7 at autozone for a cheap one)
I stupidly tried the wires first, but the guys at the junkyard gave it to me for free because they thought it was funny that i was going around the junkyard with a screwdriver, wearing heels, so i dont know the cost of it..

(I didnt know what i was doing at the time, im not a mechanic and i knew nothing about cars at the time, so i actually just kind of pried the driver switch panel open and kinda just maneuvered the button cap out because i dont care about cosmetic appearance.. also,i didnt want to spend more money and it was easy)

Check circuit breaker 28A too near passenger side door..
