Wrong Lockpick connector for Mygig Rer?

Hi,

I bought a Mygig Rer 2008 unit for my 2005 WK. This is the Mygig I bought:http://www.jeepgarage.org/f12/for-sa...rer-60336.html

And I was told I needed a Lockpick, so I bought this one:
http://www.jeepgarage.org/f12/mygig-...ras-60499.html

I went to install it and the Lockpick harness fits in the headunit fine, but the problem is the connector coming out of the Jeep doesn't match or fit into the lockpick harness. Did I buy the wrong part? If so, can someone point me in the right direction on what harness I need to buy to make this work?

Thanks.

Wow, thanks. I was way off. Seller just said I had to buy a lockpick and that's all I would need to make this work. Looks like there's a lot more to it.

Guess I'll be putting this stuff up for sale. :smh:

you already have the two most expensive parts. i did it to my 05 and it is worlds better then the old unit. worth the $$$

^ yep i agree. It's def one of those mods i cant live without. I have the CHR550 v4, very similiar to the locpick v4, includes a bunch of neat features. I love the multiple camera inputs and video in motion.

what are you missing? from the thread i think just the benzel and the adapter?

Re: Wrong Lockpick connector for Mygig Rer?

I currently have:
- the head unit
- the Lockpick V4 that I linked earlier with the wiring harness that doesn't fit my jeep.

So does that mean I need an adapter? Where can I find this? I searched on MYGIG ADAPTER but I wasn't able to find something that looked like just an adapter. I don't want to buy the wrong thing again.

Zeprider25, I'm glad to hear you've been able to do this! Can you point me in the right direction so I buy what I need? Thanks so much for the help! I appreciate it.

you have the wrong lockpick. you need the mygig adapter lockpick. sell your current lockpick and that will partically cover the new one. you will regret selling everything. the mygig is a awesome unit.

Thanks for the help and info! I appreciate it.

Posted the ad to sell the lockpick (http://www.jeepgarage.org/f12/mygig-...-v4-63195.html) and just bought the mygig adapter lockpick you mentioned. Thanks! :)

Oh, does anyone have suggestions on where to get the bezel?

Thanks again for the help everyone!

zeprider25 07-23-2013 11:18 AM

i found the bezel on ebay.

note that if you have the ves rear entertainment system you will lose the ability to listen over the radio. I'm working on a way to get around this.
