Knee panel red discoloration or dye
Hello everyone. I wanted to drop in and let you guys see this wierd problem I have with the knee panel (below the steering wheel) and other interior pieces inside my 12 Overland. I have had the knee cover part replaced (4) times because when its being lit up by the sunlight it has a weird "Red" color bleed look. It looks pretty bad. Like its not dyed enough. This is not the only spot in my Overland that is like this. I a have noticed the hard plastic behind the seats is also slightly reddish. The speaker pod by the rear tail gate is also this way.
What the hell is up with Jeep sending me 4 panels all the same discoloration. I think Jeep is getting cheap or not paying attention. I even asked the Service tech BEFORE I came back to take the panel out in the sun and verify it was not red. He said it wasn't. But pictures don't lie do they? Check it out....
Re: Knee panel red discoloration or dye
Same issue here buddy, none of the plastic matches.
I have learned to live with it and not to look too close at my jeep.
