Deceleration Anyone?
I love my '14 SRT. I traded in a '12 for it.

Has anyone noticed when you let off the gas, the car starts decelerating quite quickly? Enough to the point that traveling down a hill, the vehicle will lose speed rather than gain it when letting off the gas pedal. Is this normal? I don't remember my '12 being that noticeable.

I notice this on my 14' Overland "5.7". I

Think it has something to do with a combination of a few things, mostly the transmission "engine braking" for you..

Oh, my suggestion, keep a very light pressure on the pedal, 1-5%, see if that helps.

Re: Deceleration Anyone?
From what i noticed as soon as i touch the brake pedal it will downshift to 4th then a few seconds to 3 until i give it more gas and then it will upshift to next gear. Now if i just let off the gas it will in time do its normal downshifting 4 to 3 to 2nd and most of the time it wont go into 1st until you stop.

Re: Deceleration Anyone?
Its probably more exaggerated since the Jeep is having to go through 8 gears instead of 5 and is downshifting to ensure that it is in the proper gear for when you decide to hit the gas again.

Re: Deceleration Anyone?
Or you can simply upshift via paddle. That would solve the problem altogether.

Re: Deceleration Anyone?
This is more noticeable in Track/Sport but, from what I can tell, normal for the vehicles. I actually like the fact that I'm saving my brakes...they will cost a few dollars when they need replacing :D.
