Battery Bolt Size/Thread?

Does anybody here know the size/thread of the battery bolts? What I am looking at is the smaller of the two, bronze color, closer to the center of the battery. My plan is to use an additional matching nut on each stud to connect wiring for a radio transceiver that draws less than 9A of current. I did a similar setup on the 2009 WK, and it worked; the WK2 appears to have smaller studs.

I tried a 7x10 nut and it was slightly too large, and a 6 mm nut was too small or would not thread over the stud... maybe the end of the stud has a "boogered" thread to keep the nut from being easily loosened. The online Mopar parts site shows a M6x1.00.

An alternative would be to use the larger stud (and corresponding "ring" terminals), but I prefer to no disturb any more stuff than necessary.

UPDATE: I decided to just use the larger terminals... probably a better choice for a number of reasons. Ran the power cable along the right, beneath the step plate and to the cargo area, and then to the right rear "tub, where I mounted the radio and antenna interface (duplexer). All that is left is to tie down a couple of cables with black cable ties and black 1" adhesive backed square bases. Installing the RAM mount in the forward cup holder should work well, too.

First and subsequent tests revealed everything working as it should.
