Hello, WK2 suction type noise on deceleration

Hello all, I just recently purchased aWK2 Laredo with 25000km on the clock, I have noticed on deceleration a suction type sound from engine area which vanishes when the revs drop below 2000rpm. The noise is intermittent and if I pull over, turn the engine off and restart it the noise is gone only to return some other time. If anyone has the same issue or a fix or if this is just characteristic of this beast then your reply is appreciated.

Regards Craig

Welcome! Check out the WK2 section for some info.

I have heard the same sound from my 2011 Laredo 4x4 Hemi and can't find much info at all at what the sound could be. It's intermittent so I can't even begin to tell Service what it is.

Record it?

I suspect for the Hemi, it is the sound of the engine sucking money out of your wallet. :D

The OP didn't mention an engine type, which limits ability to answer.
