Firestone Destination AT or.... ?
2011 WK2 w off-road package here. Noticed extreme wear on two of my tires last week so I took it in to the tire shop and they told me I have an alignment issue. They suggested two new Michelin MS2 tires to match the others. Problem is I can't stand this tire, it can't handle the snow IMO.
When I mentioned replacing all tires for the Firestone Destination AT, the guy told me there are much better tires out there and if it were him, he wouldn't put these on his jeep. That's the first negative I've heard on these tires. Tire Rack gives them stellar reviews, so I'm wondering your thoughts if you have this tire... or another you would recommend over them. Need a good solid on/off road tire that will bite in the snow and won't be too noisy on the highway.
Was thinking Michelin LTX AT2, Firestone Destination AT, or possibly the Goodyear or Bridgestone varieties...
By the way, called my dealer yesterday about the alignment issue. $45 for a check and $98 for the service. Brakes Plus gives free checks with a $48 service. No brainer.
