TPM receiver/Key Fob module
Original message gone, my error, so posting again.
Had incident where key fob wouldn't unlock '05 Jeep GC. Used key, went through alarm situation and got started. Tire Pressure Monitoring light beeped and flashed for 15 seconds or so. Went out but came back on after a few minutes, then off again. Got home tried key fob again wouldn't work. Tried my wife's, no go either. Put new batteries in both. Interior fuses okay. Read that flashing TPM light was system problem. Jeep sat overnight, next morning both key fobs worked fine and have been for five days. Went to Discount Tire, scanned sensors and found battery dead in one. Replaced sensor, $70, system acquired signal after about a minute. Light now functions properly. Was told at tire store TPM receiver and Key Fob module are connected. Possible initial loss of TPM signal caused glitch in module that affected key fob temporarily? Any input from this group on that comment? I'm trying to determine if my problem may be solved or if I might still have an unresolved "gremlin", although key fobs now working fine. Thanks

Re: TPM receiver/Key Fob module
I suppose anything is possible, but it sounds more like a coincidence to me.

It could be that when setting up the new TPM sensor, something in the module was reset? Did they unhook the battery?

If everything is working fine now, I would leave it at that...some mysteries are better left unsolved...especially those that would cost diagnostic time to figure out!

Re: TPM receiver/Key Fob module
Thanks Dr. Lee. I'm inclined to agree re coincidence. No they didn't disconnect the battery. Plan to leave alone until something happens. I don't like the cost of chasing some unknown problem. Appreciate you taking time to respond.
