Front Hitch Receiver?

I'm trying to find a way to put a hitch on the front but I haven't found any existing products for us WKs. Does anyone know of a receiver on the market that bolts directly to the front where my brush guard is currently bolted on? Sorry if I'm just overlooking something obvious. I know the Matrix has the receiver option but after discussing this option with Russ we concluded that it would not work in this situation.

Thanks in advance, Nick

Get rid of your setup and go Matrix, not much out there unless you have a local welder do one.

ARB full front and have one inserted into it. Guaranteed to crush anything you hit!

Not true. I have had an ARB bumper and they are designed to meet factory specs for air bag deployment and crush zones. They cant take a hit.

Re: Front Hitch Receiver?

The ARB's just not gonna work. Not that aesthetically pleasing IMHO, too bulky, too expensive, bad for clearance, wouldn't allow me to move the winch to front or back as needed...

I need to find a hitch than can take 10-12klbs of forward force which will be at least a class 3 I believe. I'm not worried about tongue weight since a winch won't weigh too much.

The bar would have to be 75 cm long to fit between the brackets. I think I may go to Uhaul soon to see what they might have to offer. Going to be seeking some depreciation of value claims from when I got rear ended so maybe I will have a little money to throw into the project :D

Any opinions or warnings on either of these?

Re: Front Hitch Receiver?

Quarter inch all welded U-shape hitch reciever frame, bolted to crossmember and sidemembers. The skid plate is eighth inch thick steel.

Wow! That's a really nice setup! Once I've paid for the upcoming insurance bill I'll be heading to UHaul to see about a hitch receiver that I might be able to bolt to the crossmember and sidemembers as you did. Awesome stuff

There is no frame to bolt to, being a unibody and all.

Nick.Nevada - do you have any pictures of the hitch set up without the skid plate installed?
