Replace head gasket OR replace ENGINE?! HELP!!
I have a 2001 jeep cherokee sport with a blown head gasket..
Shes sitting in the shop, but nothing has been done yet..
She has a lot of miles on her anyways, and im thinking replacing a head gasket wont help resolve other issues that may occur down the line..
Im thinking I should bring an engine to the shop for them to replace instead of the head gasket.. The cost of labor shouldnt be much different..
BUT she is one of the last American-made jeep cherokee before Bernhard of Mercedes-Benz sent the cherokee plans over to China...
THEREFORE, I want her to have an American made, jeep cherokee engine.. Just like her..
Is that even possible?? Or even if it is.. What does that mean to my wallet?
Can i get a used, maybe better cherokee engine from the junkyard? Lol..
Idk.. Someone throw me a friggin bone.. Plz!!
