2015 Grand Wagoneer

So what's the word on the 2015 Grand Wagoneer? Is it still coming?

The latest rumors / road maps point to a release in 2015 as 2016 model year.

If that continues to hold up, then sometime in 2014 I would expect Jeep to introduce it at one of the U.S. auto shows....

I wanted a new Wagoneer. Waited until I couldn't wait any longer. Ordered a Summit EcoDiesel and the wait continues. Heads should roll at Jeep

I'm in the same boat as you.
I have a 2012 GC overland which I love and wanted a Wagoneer for the 7 seats
I ordered a 2014 Durango.
The new Waggy will be a mix of them both, so until its here I drive both its ancestors :-)

Currently I own an 89 Grand Wagoneer, 00 WJ and 12 WK2.

I love my wagoneer, but the commander should have showed Jeep to not mess around with things bigger then the Grand Cherokee. I remember when the XK was first released WK owners were peeved and others were annoyed it wasn't called a grand wagoneer.

I disagree with you. I also have a grand Waggy mine is 91 and it is still a stunning jeep. The commander was just a failed design.

Also look back at the jeep rescue concept, big and brilliant!

Hey, I am new to the forum. Purchased a 07WK a fews ago and all I want to do are some water sports lol.

Back to topic, would you consider the Commander in the Wagoneer Field?

Yeah I don't think the Commander is even comparable. It wasn't that big, the third row was completely useless, and the gas mileage was terrible. It was also released when gas prices continued to climb. Now look at the Durango which would be more comparable. Get inside and its exactly like a jeep. However some if us are more reluctant to switch from the Jeep brand.

As for me, my family size and vehicle needs are forcing me to get something with third row. The Durango is a little small for what I need. With the third row up there is now trunk space. From what I read, the new wagoneer is supposed to be Suburban size. I really hope it is, and comes with a diesel option. I make many 500 mile trips back home with my wife, 4 kids, and two dogs. So need something to fit everyone, with the ability to put the dogs in the trunk space comfortably. Not to mention a diesel engine to withstand the high mileage, better fuel economy, and all that torque for towing. I may be forced to lease something in the meantime until the Wagoneers is released. It would be great if the Durango had diesel and an extended model available in the meantime.
