Quadralift lifting while driving

I have a 2013 Overland and just went over 10k miles and now my Quadralift has been lifting on its own, its happened while im driving and its happened when i'm parked without me pushing any buttons.

Has anyone experienced this before. I'm about to take it to the dealer for an oil change and i'm gonna have them check it out, but before i go, I'd like to know what to possibly expect.

It's normal.

How is that normal

Mine is '14 and It always goes into aero mode on its own based on reaching certain speed and raises to normal ride height when you slow down. Is yours doing something different than that? In park did it go into entry/exit on its own or just say raising?

mensaf 08-06-2013 06:39 PM

Oh. I know the aero mode is normal, but it doesn't go down it goes up while I'm driving.

I've gotten a few phantom "raising" messages where system seemed to get confused but I just manually pushed the lower button and it stopped

It's normal to go up from aero mode after slowing down and it's normal to adjust the height for appearance after being parked. Other than that, it's not normal.

Does it go up to OR 1 or 2 while driving?

mensaf 08-06-2013 07:06 PM

Yes it does. But then it'll adjust back and forth when I go over and under 40mph. I know it's normal to go to normal drive height when I go over 40, but it's not normal to lift while I'm driving or when I don't even press the button

Re: Quadralift lifting while driving

Aero mode lowers the vehicle at higher speeds. The vehicle raises back to normal road height when it slows or stops. A message appears in the cluster indicating "Normal Road Height Attained".

If you use exit/entry mode, the vehicle will raise when you reach 15 MPH.

----------------

However, if your vehicle is doing something now that you didn't notice for 10,000 miles, there is something wrong either with you, or the vehicle.

Have you read the section in the owner's manual pertaining to Quadra-lift to get an idea what it should do. It may not be 100% accurate, but close.

My 2011 does the same. I'll look down and notice it's automatically moved to the middle lift position without my pressing the lift button after starting it. It did it yesterday. Then again the radio station changed recently on two different occassions after starting with out my assistance.
