ome lift questions/

Ok, I have skyjacker spacers and want more of a lift. I have looked at kits and have narrowed it down to ome/ superlift/ bds. My main goal is to fit 285's when I need new tires.

I know what comes with the superlift/bds kits, But what is all included in the ome. From what I have seen it seems to be just coils and shocks. If that is the case why pay 700 when they are 75 per pair (fronts 75, backs 75) for the coils here: http://www.undergroundrovers.com/Wk-...nt-P20831.aspx

Am I missing some thing; I know that I will need the shocks as well but 150 in and only shocks to buy??? what gives or did I just find a loop hole?

If anyone can help, Acid (hint, hint!) let me know before I waste cash.

thanks
Mike

OME is a great kit but to be honest, if you can afford the Superlift or BDS, go for it! it drives smooth and looks good. You can fit a 305/70/17 with those lifts and still have good wheel well space.
If you decide on OME, i would stick to medium unless you tow, if you tow keep medium up front and heavy out back.

My vote is BDS for there lifetime warranty, second is Superlift for there price, name, quality.

Good luck.

thanks, I called the link and they informed me that the coils were individually priced (ie 150 per pair). Turns out it is not a steal, I think I will wait until spring and look into the BDS.

Acid, I saw that you took off the custom and put in the superlift, how is that erg mod working. Also, would I need this with the BDS?

The EGR is needed with relocated components like what the BDS and SL do, as of now, she is still in the shop and my EGR module is right next to me so no feedback yet.
I didn't have any issues with the Hybrid setup i had but i really don't recommend it.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

OK, so I wanted to get rancho shocks for emu coils, have thad on my f250 and loved them. So I call 4wd hardware, they are local for me. I start talking with the guy and he's seen my jeep.

I tell him what I wanted to do, he tells me that I should keep the skyjacker puck lift and add the coils. He tells me that I just need to get the correct shocks and struts for the amount of lift.

He futher tells me that I have to measure the compressed and extended travel and buy shocks that are for that, they may be for any vehilce (like ford, chevy) and I can buy adapters to make them work on the jeep.

My question, does anyone know these measurements? or better yet recomendations for shocks/ struts for a lift like this.

The longest shocks available for the WK are OME's.
Unless something new has come out recently!

I understand but the guy at 4WD said I didn't have to use wk shocks/struts, that there are adapters to make a shock/strut for any vehicle work. I am trying to see if anyone has done this. Or knows how to do this.

The man who keeps track of this stuff is Nick Kolak. kolak@kolakperformance.com
In the past (over a year ago) he has said by the time you put adaptors you eat up all the gain. Maybe something new has come along!
