Inexpensive / easy exhaust mod? 2014 gc hemi
O, a week onto my jeep bi cant afford the $1k or so to install a cat back etc. doing a search on here ice heard mixed thoughts on removing the x pipe. Would that be better or just swap out the mufflers for flowmaster mufflers only? Its a limited 2014 with the hemi and i dont want it extra loud but just a tad louder dan whAt my former 2013 dodge durango rt sounded like

I might have some time today and will b near a reputable exhaust shop, so easy day to get it done.

Thoughts? Fyi, i had a 2012 mustang 5.0 with a full magnaflow cat back and i was very happy It was too loud and cars remained. There are no inspections here for emissions but id prefer to keep the cats.

Pay a shop to cut out the resonators and replace them with straight pipe. I know a dude who do this on his Challenger and the thing sounds MEAN. He recommended I do it to my WK2, but years of riding a noisy Buell has left me with an aversion to super-noisy vehicles.

I have a WK2 SRT 2014 and had a muffler shop cut the resonators out and install straight pipes in its place. Sounds perfect to me only loud when you want it IMO. Just need to weld the flapper open on the stock exhausts because they will rattle at idle due to less back pressure. Other than that a great mod for $180.
