LED Selection

I have read everything I can find on the subject and am still confused.

I am not asking how to change the different bulbs, I already know how to get at all the bulbs I want to change.

I am looking to change all my dash and interior bulbs to LED's. Also my Tail Lights and high mount stop light.

The front marker lights and turn signal lights will also be LED. The headlights will be HID's.

Where I am confused is are the bulbs plug and play? Or will I need to do anything to keep the electrical system and computer happy. Basically just swap out the bulbs with LED's and be done with it. I don't want to cut into any of my wiring harnesses if I can avoid it.

I will be purchasing all my LED's and HID kits and headlight and LED taillight housings from Xenon Depo.

I saw a You Tube vid on a guy that changed Turn signal bulbs with LED's and it caused the lights to blink fast like the burned out bulb indication. I want the blink to remain at the stock interval.

This will be done to my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

The lights for the dash and interior are plug and play depending on the model. For your dome light and door panel safety lights you can go with either plug and play or run a resistor. You're parking lights should have a resistor so they'll flash properly. You don't have to worry about cutting into any wiring unless you're going to do the same with the thermostat lighting (either plug and play or soldered) and the gear selection lighting (which is a simple snip/connector/wire nut type thing)
