codes 1110 and 1410
Hey Guys,
I hAve been readin all the threads on similar codes. Quick question for one that had the display light up like a xmas tree. Did it first time and wouldnt start. Took couple of tries and finLly started with all sorts of failures.
Third try starts autostart says deactivated and have a check engine light.
Why would a supposed speed sensor and abs failur code cause the truck to have difficulty starting? No dealer in my area can even look at it til monday. Just curious was anyone having running issues with these 2 codes?
And yess been researching this quite a bit today!

Re: codes 1110 and 1410
Just about every light on mine lit up & it did keep displaying ABS malfunction or something to that effect. No chimes though, & I drove it 6 miles home with no speedo working either. I tried a couple restarts (started fine) but the lights would not go out. Because I did not get out of the car, opening & closing the door, the car technically does not shut down according to Bill De. He was right cause the next morning upon starting the only light that came on was the check engine light. Half way thru the day after probably a dozen or more starts & shutdowns the check engine light stopped coming on. Throughout all this the car ran fine. At the dealer the next day of course no lights and the tech said it gave all sorts of stored problems that did not make any sense when he hooked up the computer. He thinks it is ABS related but untill it happens again there is not much they can do. Car HAD been flawless for 5,791 miles. Hope this helps! Dave

Re: codes 1110 and 1410
It would take a close study with a wiring diagram CJF does not sell to owners but I suspect a flow study of the electical system would reveal that the ABS is the "path of least resistance" if a ground fails and a surge follows.

Without the Prefix it is a bit hard to pinpoint but suspect that is U1110 (PCM) "Lost speed signal" and U1410 (TCM) "Implausible IPM data". What that has to do with the ABS I have no idea unless advice is coming from on high.
