Drop in mpg

Hello all. I need some input. Over the last couple tanks I've noticed a drop in mpgs on my wk. My average with city and freeway is about 15-15.3. But I'm now seeing between 12.7-13.2. I know it's not a huge drop but its bothering me lol. Any ideas what could cause this? My driving habits haven't changed much either.

too many variables...weather, fuel quality, traffic, and minute driving differences to start, and then you get into mechanical...

Noticed a similar drop here too, not as pronounced but a good 10% drop, between the last tank and the current tank. I suspect my latest tank has a higher ethanol content. Both tanks purchased from the same place, same pump even, but about 3 weeks apart... not a Mobil, BP, etc, so who knows what gas I am actually getting...

Dunno if Utah requires the use of alcogas, but it would be worth trying other brands or look for alcohol % on the pump having changed. Mileage with alcohol blend is always less than with real gas.

If that isn't it, and an "Italian Tune-Up" [stomp on it a few times] doesn't help, you might want to see if your cat is getting plugged, your O2 sensor is getting old/bad readings.

Spark plugs and wires would be another place to look, but I wouldn't spend any money on any of those without investing a few bucks at a jeep specialist or trustworthy dealer.

Plugs are cheap and easy to do.

I recently change to mobil 1 fully synthetic and mobil1 oil filter plus put in whole can of sea foam. City n highway help like 2 mpg now. The engine feel like run smoothly too..
