I just installed the 91 octane tune on a stock JGCSRT8 and noticed when I got into the transmission section it did not have a shift firmness selection like it did on the Challenger R/T. It has reset tcm in which I did and a mtcm raised shift points. I thought the mtcm was an after market mod or does the Jeep have it as a stock part. It also didn't have any selected rpms or is it pre determined by the Intune? It also says I have to raise the redline but didn't give me any selections. What gains if any will this do and will it have any adverse effects on the engine. Right now it shifts @ 5700 from 1-2 and @ 6000 from 2-3.
Re: Intune question
I believe you cannot raise the shift pressure directly. I have the Intune but had a custom file wrote for me. The new file def shifts harder but when I asked the tuner he said he does it indirectly. I shaved about .2 off my 0-60 (now at 4.5sec) and notice a big difference in response. Gas mileage got a little worse (12.7 avg) but I bought a jeep SRT8, who cares about gas lol.
