Noticed a paint chip on my passenger door right on the edge where it meets the passenger door leading edge. Thinking it was just a rock chip I bought some touch up paint. When I was touching it up I noticed more chips on the inside edge and then saw one of the door stops was missing. It looks like because that stop was missing there was some metal on metal contact. I assume you all have two of the round door stops on the front passenger door? See pic.

Re: Anybody missing a door stop?
those little things just pop off sometimes when your wiping your door jams down...BUT I don't think it missing would cause metal on metal contact. The door would have to flex and move too much for contact that way. Sounds like someones hitting it on things when opening the door.

Actually my description wasn't right before. The chip is on the rear passenger door front edge. There is also damage on the front passenger door on the backside. If you notice when you open just the rear door it slides behind the front door. I think because that stop is missing it is clipping the front door just a bit.

I wouldn't think two mechanically hinged doors could have interference without misalignment.

I'll get it checked out when I go back in to get the door overslam bumper. Sounds like my door may be out of alignment.

Re: Anybody missing a door stop?
You should be able to see if that's the problem just by looking as you open and close each door. Should take about 10 seconds to know if that's the problem.
