New Brakes Question

Well I need new brakes. I'm thinking of going for the Drilled/Slotted rotors. And I need some good pads. I found a lot on eBay and wanted to know if would be good. If not does anyone recommend me to get a certain type?

Thanks a lot

Here's the ones I'm talking about:

Re: New Brakes Question

unless your towing you really don't need sloted or drilled rotors it just decreases the stoping distance no matter the compound.

All I tow is a 4300 pound boat just about 100ft from parking lot to docking every week and also a Jetski.

i would say OEM b/c chrysler did a lot of proactive work to fix the brake problems of the past... from what I know, the change was done to the calipers and pads/rotors in 2002.. so get the 2004 specific set IMO..

I recommend the Stillen slotted setup.......I'm not convinced on the drilled

I was thinking of going to the dealership and getting the factory ones but I don't want to be ripped off.

Re: New Brakes Question

To be perfectly honest Paul...I say go with some smooth rotors, and some kinda ceramic pad...my drilled rotors are a little noisy when dong heavy braking...which is kinda annoying...

That listing on eBay is just for the front BTW..

Re: New Brakes Question

Yeah I know they are for the front. That's all I need. I looked at Stillen and they are like over $200 but I'm paying for quality. I need good stopping power!

Paul,

you will get a lot of different opinions regarding which one is better, my suggestion is to listen to what they have to say and do some research on your own. The fact the everybody has different taste and reasoning as to why will probably confuse you more. Good luck with it my friend!
