How to: Renew your rear step pad

Ok guys, been six month of out in the hard Ozzie sun since I last treated my rear step pad to some TLC.
As you know they quickly look very sub standard, but with five minutes love can look can as new.

I was mine thoroughly with Palmolive dish detergent to get rid of any grime and hose it off. Chamois off and let dry thoroughly.
This is how it looked after drying;

Then I use a cheap ($2-00) can of "shine" and carefully spray it on, quite liberally but not getting overspray everywhere;

The using a chux I rub it into her, like you would oil into your lady's back;

Hey presto, mint looking rear step and it lasts suprisingly well.

Now I know that's VERY simple and many of you would already do it, but I remember some time ago I was asked to do a how-too, so there you have it :D

you can also use any exterior dressing on this (even armor all will work)

Sweet! I've been using Mother's Back To Black for a while now, and while it works pretty darn well, it's a pain to apply it, and super annoying to get off of the paint, so you have to be REALLY careful! I'm gonna just do this from now on!
