Right foot fatigue
 
The steering wheel fatigue thread reminded me to ask this.

Since going from 2002 GC to 2014 my right foot aches.

If I take my sneaker off it's fine.

I think it's just the angle my foot is held when I have a heel on. When off the throttle it's not balanced or something.

Anyone else notice this?

Try some new sneakers! :rolleyes: Just kidding. I actually find the gas pedal more comfortable than my previous several vehicles. I have a problematic right knee which would ache after extended driving before. No problem with my knee or foot in the Jeep.

I'm sure it's more me than the truck. But just curious if anyone else had it.

P.S. My wife works for one of the largest sneaker companies in the world.

I've had sore right knee in my old GC on long trips and that has not been a problem in the new GC. I tended to sit more bow legged in the old GC and rest my leg against the center console. Maybe my foot was resting on it a little too. Now it's more upright (good for the knee). In the long run it may go away and be better posture.

I had similar issue after about 4 hours driving one day (fairly soon after buying the truck) but since I've found a more comfortable way to drive. Also, mine was a more a lower leg/high foot muscle issue. I chalked it up to the different driving positions from a Pathfinder to the GC.

Hmm... it is not just me then.

I too noticed that somehow the pedals are more to the left. I think an inch or so to the right would be perfect. And the position of the pedals always makes me sit a bit more to the left of the seat than in the center. When I put myself in the center of the seat, I do notice some "fatigue" in my right foot.

No, but I don't wear heels.

You've aged since 02, as did the return spring on the 02's gas pedal. Now it's a brand new spring, but the same old you. :lol:

Seriously, I never noticed anything different with this gas pedal compared to the one on my MDX.

When I put it to the floor this one can get up over 100 mph a lot quicker. :thumbsup:

No way your hitting 190 unless you happen to own a motogp bike...then all 8 wanr to know is can I borrowes it..haha

It was a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R1000 with the limiter removed (186 per speedo). Dyno'd at 160 HP / 89 TQ to the wheel. It read over 200 on the speedo but there is error in that based on tire size, etc.

MotoGP bikes have ~200 HP which lots of modern bikes basically have.

Anyways, enough off-topic.
