2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 limited overheating when idle ?

Good day to you all, my 2005 GC 5.7 Limited overheats when there is traffic and its still, and then cools as soon as the traffic starts moving

some times it gets too close the red limiter which concerns me

strange is that when I open the bonnet there is no smoke or burn smell

the engine & trans oil has been changed,

any help ?

what are the areas / parts i should keep in mind that needs change / fixing ?

thanks !

fluid level? last time system was flushed and new coolant? new tstat? fan turning on at proper temp (radiator fan)a/c on or off? (does that make any difference)

First things I'd check is the waterpump weep hole to make sure it's still spinning properly at idle (controlled by the serpentine belt, which could be super loose). Then I'd check the specialized MOPAR power steering fluid (the fan is hydraulic on the HEMI) and make sure there's not a leak (fairly common). Then I'd go ahead and make sure you haven't blown your thermostat and it's stuck in the closed position. Not necessarily in that order though. Oh yeah, and check the coolant level/age.
