Billet Technologies Old School Shifter arrived...

...and thanks Joe for the easy visual instructions. All I had was my blackberry (sorry) and I'm still waiting for the shifter sleeve but I had to post this. The shifter ball is HEAVY and SOLID which is just what I wanted. It feels good when using Autostick, definitely Old School and loving it. It has SRT engraved on it.

BTW, it's like 20* here and the shifter ball FEELS like it too! LOL. But it looks great -- forget Hurst. Now we just need a billet shifter plate and we're all set with a kit of our own.

No problem Peter!

Glad you finally got the Shifter in the mail and got it installed!

Looks good. I like the feel of my stock Wk black shifter I am not a fan of the XK and SRT and newer WK shifters, they just dont grip in the hand comfortably for the way i like to hold it. I think the ball looks good though. Nice touch. I like the Billet tech one that has the little grippy things on it.

Really nice! How do you like it compared to stock. Looks like your upgrade might feel better in the hand. Let me know!

Those billet shifters get really cold now in winter, I have to drive with gloves.

It definitely feels better to me. Its heavy and solid which gives me a different feel to the shifter. I like that it's smaller than the stock one so I actually cup it in my hand rather than slap it around. For the price (less than $30), you can't go wrong IMO.

Oh yeah -- it's COLD in this weather. I don't expect it to get too hot in the summer though. My Audi TT had a billet aluminum shifter too and it was COLD in the winter and warm in the summer. It got hot if I keep to top down and the sun beat down on it. Definitely need a glove now ;)

Gee, I don't know -- I've seen a new one listed for $150 on justforjeeps.com so I don't think 1/2 price is uncalled for right?
