Headlight Condensation
hey guys i just got my 2014 SRT 2 days ago and i love it but the only thing pissing me off is the damn condensation in the headlights. does it go away permanently or is there a DIY solution like maybe sealing off the vents in the back permanently because i like in miami and i feel like the condensation will always come back. it usually comes after rain but will go away when it stops and then at night when i turn the headlights on and it heats up it returns again. i cant believe a 68,000 truck has this problem right off the bat. Please help because i am super frustrated.

Re: Headlight Condensation
its normal....these are vented lamps. Thye will stop...all of them do this. Its not condensation...its simple fog. If you get condensation(water droplets) then return to dealer

Re: Headlight Condensation
about how long before they stop because my truck is 2 days old and it was in the showroom when i bought it. also it looks like fog and does go away but in the bottom outside lower corner it looks like very very very small droplets that never move but dissipate with the fog after a while.

Re: Headlight Condensation
yeah...when new almost all of them do it. Mine did....park it in the sun to regulate the temp of the lamps.

TSB for this, shows pretty clearly bad vs. normal:

Re: Headlight Condensation
Mine is two days old. Same thing. I look forward to it going away.

It worsens it by running the leds only during the day.

Arg. Mine two was from inside a showroom. 18 miles on it when I left Saturday
with it.

The fog does go away after leaving the led's off for a while... from this perspective
it would seem it would worsen.

Glad to hear it's vented and will go away.... i hope hope...
