Help tailights will not work!
So I made a horrible mistake of hooking up a trailer harness up to my tailights not knowing that the difference in gauge of wire would make a difference anyway last night one turn signal stopped working so I took it apart and after I put it back together tailights stopped working all together, so I disconnected the trailer harness guess it was too late, checked all fuses and relays, i don't know what to do, the weird part is, my turn signals and hazards will work when the key is in the on position but not why engine is running, someone help!

Re: Help tailights will not work!
The gauge of wire shouldnt make a difference, It would only be bad if you were running a current too high. As long as the lower amperage of the two can support the current you shouldnt have fried any wiring.

Also it would seem like in your haste to remove the harness you may have not made a solid connection. We would need more information as this is just a guess going on current info.

The wires phiscally look fine, and at this point I just removed the harness and its still acting up, everything is back to the way before I even started but its still not right. The dealer said something abou the body control module possibly being damaged, sound right??
