Few Pics from the Badlands

Was heading to a wedding in Saskatchewan and we stopped in Drumheller for the night. Did a little driving around and thought I'd share some pics.

Very nice. I didn't realize there are badlands in Canada as well. I grew up in ND, our summer vacations consisted of a trip to the Badlands in the western part of the state.

Is Wall Drug still as kitschy as it was in the 70s? Worth a stop In My Non Humble Opinion.

Those badlands in the photos look a lot like the glorified mud formations around Green River Utah--another place worth a stop on the way to Moab, particularly to take a trip to the Crystal Geyser and poke around on the cliffs behind it for dino bone.

More the same than not...Coffee still 5 cents, free ice water, fresh daily world famous donuts and people still pull off the interstate in droves. It is all of "kitschy" ... Everyone needs to stop at least once.

ND also has bigger mosquitoes, say over near Max, where I was born.

However, SD has better fireworks....

...and this crazy statue of 5 old geezers and a palace made of corn
