Foglights in grill

So I'm looking at adding some hella 500's behind my grill and just drilling the holes in my top Radiator support. Just wondering if anyone else has mounted there lights there and if it will cause my jeep to run a bit hotter from air flow being blocked by the lights? Any pics would be awesome too. Thanks fellow jeepers

Upper grille or lower grille?

It might be smart to make some templates of your lights and zip tie them where you would mount the lights to test the temp before going all out. Anything in there will reduce your cooling ability.

4.7 would probably be ok but don't know if I'd want to distrupt the airflow on a 4.0.

It's the upper grill and it's a 4.0. You guys think it not a good idea?

It's just that 4.0's in a wj tend to be a little warm blooded on hills especially higher mileage ones. I'd give it a try but keep an eye on your temp. You can always take them back off.

Ok thanks for the info. I've got 115,000 on it so not bad

I'd say upgrade your headlights and fogs to HID projectors. They'd turn nighttime on the back roads to daylight and give ya a much sharper view.
