wont turn over
new bee here and in hot water. I changed all valve stem seals, it was smoking bad do to the thermostat stopped working and it overheated.
now it wont start, I charged the battery, took off the starter, it was rusty
inside the relay cleaned it, but it back, it wont turn the motor over.
I can turn it by hand with a 12 inch 3/8 drive ratchet, little hard not that bad. what you think? changing the seals should not do this.
how hard should it be to turn? its a 2001 4.7 95000 miles on it.
Re: wont turn over
You better ask your technical questions in the WJ section, you have more changes on replies.
So the engine overheated due to a closed thermostat, but did this cause the valve stem seals to go bad? You changed them with the heads in place?
When you try to start, does the starter relay in the PDC (power distribution center) click? If it does, do you measure 12V on the starter solenoid?
