Oil Filters which to get

When I bought my Wk2 I got 6 free oil changes ( basically a Mopar Service Plan). I search the Forums and nothing has come up.

the Stock Oil filter part is # 04884899AB (also listed as MO-899)

Then they have one that's white and listed SRT 05038041AA Says viper but other forums have said it's a better filter than the stock mopar and built for SRT.

Getting my Oil changed tomorrow and I want to make sure they put the better one on.

any of you ever used the 05038041AA srt Filter?

I just bought 6 of these, haven't tried them yet as not yet due for an oil change. I have had good luck with the standard Mopar filters over the years, figure if the new one is good enough to be spec'd for the Viper it has to be a top-notch filter.

WELL that went over like a turd in a punch bowl...

The Mopar Service Platinum plan wouldn't allow the use of that Filter because it's not listed when they ran my VIN and cost more.

They said if i brought one in they would put it on. So I got stuck with the Mo-899 till next 6 times if i don't wanna pay any extra out of pocket.. was $92 for the oil change I didn't have to shell out for.

Checked my oil after 2 hrs shes also overfilled... by alot
