2014 Radio isnt Responding
 
hey guys, just went out to get lunch and I noticed that my radio isn't responding...stuck on SD media....cant get to radio...cant turn off the radio...no controls on steering wheel work...

any idea on what this is...heading to dealer after work but just thought I would ask

You can do a manual reboot without shutting off the veh by pushing the mute and browse buttons together for 5 seconds. It should not lock up like this. Hopefully, Uconnect software version 13.31.6 will solve more issues like this.

thanks I will give that a try...I was going to pull the negative battery too and see if that frees it up

There is no need to pull a battery cable. It won't do anything more than shutting off the veh and opening/closing the driver door and letting the veh sit for 5-10 min which will allow for a complete reboot also. If that doesn't correct the problem you'll need to see your dealer.

that's what I just did....went outside after letting it sit for like 20 mins and it was 100% OKKKKK...whew :thumbsup:

When my wife's Nav/Radio went fritzy on her old Town and Country, I would just pull the fuse. This did a hard reset and the radio and it would work just fine after that.
