Grille Replacement for 2014 GC Limited
I have a 2014 Limited Grand Cherokee and was wondering if anyone has swapped out the plastic grilles with anything nice? Would like to do something similar to the chrome honeycomb style that the summit offers or something different to put a different look on the front end.

Dealer all the way for install!

My only issue with the install was the tech looked like he used a crow bar to get the rivets off to take off the front bumper and he scratched the underside of the wheel well on both sides.

I did the bumper drop this weekend. If you follow the instructions here you'll save yourself a lot of pain. The only difference between 2011 and 2014 is the grill comes off with the bumper cover, so you need to pop the fasteners for the top down method after you remove the rest of the bumper cover. I didn't see this thread and tried to follow the written instructions which are wrong and unclear, which caused me to pull off more fasterners than I needed to. It is easy to scratch the wheel wells when cutting the rivets off. The question is whether you trust yourself more than random tech. Looking at the mistakes I made, I would probably let a tech do it. I scratched my wheel arches and busted a couple clips, so I am pretty sure a tech wouldn't have done any worse and had to buy a $16 rivet tool from harbor freight to get it back together.

At least at the dealer you have recourse if there's a problem with the installation. The car does look better with it installed though.

I replaced mine with the black overland honeycomb inserts (to match the lower grills). I did it without removing the bumper. I first attempted to do it from the top, as others have done, wedging my hand under the the loosened plastic "lid" of the front fascia cover. This proved almost, I took a pair of wire cutters and cut each vertical plastic grill piece out. This made it easy to reach in through each grill opening to unclip what was left of the stock Limited grills.

The whole job took less than an hour.
