What would you offer?

Hi everyone!

I have been in and out of the market for a 2011-2013 Jeep GC for the last couple years. Just this last week I was involved in an accident that totaled my car. In any other case, the ability to finally get a Jeep would excite me. However, this is all happening during our first home purchase (short sale).

When the time did come, my goal was to purchase a Limited model. With a major house purchase coming up, along with other expenses, we came to realization that may not be possible. After researching and finding nothing that peaked our interest at that price, we increased our budget.

Now, ideally we wanted $26k and under. During my search, I came across a 2011 Jeep GC Limited, V6 with 67k miles selling for $27,477. Personally, I think it's a decent deal to begin with. I called and inquired about pricing it at $26,500. Over the phone they said the lowest they could go was $26,900 since they put four new tires on and replaced the rear breaks.

Should I try and get this price a little lower, or is this already a good deal? Personally, I think it's a damn good deal but I wouldn't mind hearing from other Jeep GC owners.

Thanks!

mediocre deal imo, but if its well kept, probably worth every penny.

Check for error codes and misfires. Has it had head replacement ? Does it have a warranty ?

Clear CarFax with good maintenance records. Thought the offer was fair for both sides. Put a deposit down to pick it up next weekend! :D

I would e-mail them back with the number $26k and tell them that they have your contact information when they are ready to do a deal. Reach out to another sales guy at the same place too. Tell him the same thing. At the end of the month when one of them needs to get their numbers up. You will get a call.

You will hear all the famous lines. "I have 3 people interested in it already." "We have done so and so upgrades." In the end, you will get it for the price you want.

You could get a new 2014 Larado close to that. Keep looking.

You are in a position to walk away. There is always a better deal around the corner.

I'd say chk out the new Laredos imo you can get a new one for a lil more than 26k

I took a look and for what the base 2014 Laredo's cost, I am significantly happier with the 2011 Limited I went with. Better looking, IMO, and way more options.

Deposit is down so it'll be "official" come Saturday.
