wj cooling issue?

Hey I'm new to jeep garage and seek help. I have a 99 4.7 limited and am having a hard time figuring out why it overheats a tad every couple weeks. To start it has a new radiator, t-stat, water pump, hoses, timing cover(used but not worn out too bad). Ill bleed the system and everything is good but every couple weeks it will get around 240ish in traffic and drop when I drive, check coolant and I have too add. It doesnt leak and a pressure test was good and the oil is clean.... almost forgot there is still a lot of pressure released even a few hours after sitting when I pull the cap off but the level in the overflow bottle is full and never changes. Any help would be great because this thing has me confused. Thanks

Welcome to the garage.
You made me confused: first you say that you have to add coolant, then you say that the level in the overflow reservoir never changes:eek:.
There seems to be a problem with the cooling fan, or does it run when the high temperature is reached?
Are you absolutely sure that no coolant is seaping away from some hot place, but evaporating? No coloured signs anywhere?

Sorry I should have said the overflow never changes but the radiator it self has to be filled. I cant see any signs of anything which is the confusing part.

Overflow reservoir at right level and radiator low means some leak in the cooling system. When the engine cools down, an underpressure is created, which should draw coolant back from the overflow reservoir. A small check valve in the radiator cap should allow this. When you didn't change the radiator cap yet, i would do that first.

Good to hear, nothing better then a simple (and cheap) solution:D.
