Billet Technology Catch Can

I went ahead and installed my Billet Tech catch can this morning. I cant say enough good about the quality/fit/finish of the BT products. Only took 10 minutes to install, looks great, and now I am ready for the Hemifever custom tune.

Scott, in your opinion, is the red catch can too much red? I am getting a redline and i didn't know that where it mounts, there's that silver piece if the regular silver doesn't look better. I'm leaning towards the red, but seeing it in silver in this post makes me wonder... Thoughts?

Looks great! I had mine ready to go before I even had the Jeep. My Magnaflow exhaust and BT Catch Can were both installed with 77 miles on the clock. ;)

We only have 2000 miles on the Jeep, but after seeing how much oil the truck 5.7 pumps out, I didn't want to wait any longer.

This is a must have upgrade in my opinion.

I'm about to sound SUPER NUB but what does this do.... I must look into anything that helps!

Agreed, my 5.7L puts out roughly 2 ozs of gunk in 1,000 miles of driving or less. I typically empty it more frequently than the oil change interval.

Basically, it catches all the oil from the PCV system before it gets dumped into your intake manifold. My can is always about half full of oil at every oil change. My Hemi in my truck is no different, which also has a BT catch can.

Re: Billet Technology Catch Can

Like said above, it catches the oil from your PCV valve that would otherwise be dumped into your intake manifold. When that oil enters your manifold it will mix with your fuel which lowers the overall octane rating of your fuel. This is terrible for performance especially when you have a performance tuner installed. Tuners increase timing and require more fuel which is why you see 87, 89, 91, and 93 octane tunes. Not having the correct octane fuel will cause detonation which then causes your computer to pull timing...pulled timing means a loss of power and efficiency.

Hemi460HP....The pics you posted of your catch can are not here. Id like to see your method of mounting it.
I also have a dumb question....If it's PVC that comes from the valve at the back of the manifold and dumps into the inlet manifold....Then what is the tube that goes into thecombustion air inlet tube upstream of the throtte body.....I thought that was PCV ?
