Uconnect issues need help

I just bought a jeep liberty 09 yesterday And I've been trying to connect my phone to the uconnect by just pressing the phone button and it's keeps saying " uconnect phone not available ". Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

From your message, I would say the uconnect module is not installed on the liberty. The radio has the button but the module is not standard equipment. I have a 2010 loaner which doe not have the module.

Bump...

My 2011 Jeep Cherokee has uconnect installed, but if I don't have the Bluetooth enabled on my phone and press the phone button, it says "uconnect phone not available" and promptly exits. I can't imagine they would add the phone button, but not Bluetooth... Have you check under menu for syncing phone and confirmed it has Bluetooth?

My uconnect in my 2014 compass latitude is saying no phone available, with a phone that was paired to it. I just got a new phone and I can't even pair it, thanks to it still saying no phone available. Any help?

"Pair (Link) uconnect
phone to a Cellular Phone

To begin using your uconnect
phone, you must pair your compatible Bluetooth enabled cellular phone.

To complete the pairing process, you will need to reference your cellular phone Owner’s Manual. The uconnect
website may also provide detailed instructions for pairing."

You can download an owner's manual here;

Thanks for your help Bill. I read over the stuff you posted & called uconnect but unfortunately I'm going to have to take my Jeep to the dealership for whatever is going on.
