I had our jeep in (2012 JGC with the V8) for the fifth time yesterday for having the fishbite. This happens at low speeds usually up a decent sized incline, and at highway speeds when trying to pass. The last time i was in I had a ride alon with a tech and he admitted that there was definately something going on. This time they opened up a star case and the Jeep engineers said that there was nothing wrong with the car, that the transmission is acting completely normal. At the same time the tech that went on the test drive is now denying feeling anything (weird). I had called Jeep (the 1-877-IAM-JEEP number) and talked to someone who stated there is nothing anyone will do because there is nothing wrong with it. Also my service advisor told me that it was in my head.
So rant over my question to you guys who have had similar issues, will the diablosport with hemifever tuning cure this ( I have heard that it will but it was always a second hand account that I have heard this on) and does anyone know exactly what this is and why the jeeps do it, I thought it had something to do with the MDS but everytime I take it in they do trans software on it. I am just really confused, trying to figure out if this is something to worry about, or is it something that has no effect on longevity, because I dont know how much longer I can put up with idiots about this issue (AKA Jeep). Its actually my wifes car and she absolutely loves it except for this one issue, and I am ok with it if its not a longevity issue.
Thanks in advance for any advice. This is a great community. I want to love my Jeep again (but will never love the company after what I have been through)
