When you driving through the raining on the road, the auto mode ?!?! How???

Even in torrential rain, there really isn't that much benefit from not running in auto mode as long as you have decent tires that can handle the lower temperature and reduced traction. I suspect it wouldn't hurt anything to turn it to snow mode if you are nervous in those conditions...

Now, if the rain is leaving puddles, or is flowing on the road, another matter as hydroplaning can happen or your vehicle may get washed off the road.
