No audio/video, just a snapshot - I'm not good enough to edit out the cussing during installation! :) Fortunately, this installation is very straightforward.

^^^ - Are you running w/o the engine cover? Does it actually help with cooler air?

I run both the Jeep and the CTS-V without their covers in the summer. It doesn't seem to make much difference in the Jeep, but does lower the V's intake temp a few degrees.

Hey - imagine that - I have a CTS-V as well! Love it!!

Anyway, about the intake, I'm leaning towards a Volant with its enclosed box to help keep the air cool. I suspect that it may be slightly better than a grommet sealed box that depends on a hood-to-grommet seal to keep things cool.

I put a video of my K&N intake on page 4(I think) of this thread.

Pick up the new Jeep Monday. K&N cold air intake sitting of dining room floor. Can't wait.

I installed the same system last weekend. Much improved engine sound, although not enough to satisfy my needs. I will be adding exhaust asap. I will be interested to see if I get a little better MPG's with the K&N, that is if I can quit hammering the gas so I can hear the beast.
