Is there a Carbon Fiber look Mirror cover that fits our wk2 that doesn't cost $200+?

i assume the ones on your jeep in your signature are the factory covers? I am trying to find the part number on those to get them for my overland and rid myself of the Chrome!

You have to buy the entire mirror....they don't sell the covers. That being said..mi have one mirror with painted white cover. ... $50 shipped. Just pull the cover off and have painted. That's one down....lol

What model and year is this from? I assume it's heated and has the blind spot detection? Or are you saying you will sell me the cover only for $50?

It's a base mirror that I had laying around. Only heated. I bought it for $50 for some testing when I had a durango

Removing the caps and painting to match the car is one of the easiest modes to do.
Well if your car is black or white :-)
But I'm sure any body shop can paint them to match. Removing them is a 5 minute job, installing 2.

Any trick to removal?

Yep go as follows:
Rotate mirror assembly all the way outward and to the front.
Gently yank glass out and disconnect (I left it hanging)
Remove one Philips head screw from mirror base (now pointing backward of jeep)
Push on 5 plastic tabs to move cap out and away.

Wk2jeeps.com has a detailed PDF with pics, specifically for mirrors but also for most everything you want to remove on the jeep.

KUDOS to them!

Thanks, found the PDF and will probably just buy a Chrome set to have painted then throw my chrome covers up here for sale after removal.
