MY2014 Aftermarket TouchScreen NAV For Australians

Ive been researching if its possible to gain Nav for the MY2014 GJC to use the 8.4A / RA3 Uconnect Screen

Ive found two options - one is not touchscreen ..the latter option is.

First option:
Navtv - UCT-13+ KIT Gives Two Video Inputs ..you then need to couple this with a NavTv Garmin Nav Unit which is controlled by remote control
NAV-TV Corporation: UCT-13+

See how the UCT-13+ works the video shows a DODGE RAM which has the same uconnnect system as the GRAND CHEROKEE.
UCT-13 - 2013 / 2014 RAM & GRAND CHEROKEE - ADD REAR VIEW CAMERA & MUCH MORE - YouTube

And here shows a method of installing a NavTv similar device (not a how to for a GJC)
NAV-TV UCI+GARMIN INSTALL 2012 DODGE CHARGER - YouTube

Contact is Tiago
tiago@navtv.com

Second (Touchscreen) Option:

Using an Australian Hitv unit -

Doyles in Sydney - Specifically contact Simon @ Doyle's Auburn Sydney
(02) 9748 1666
http://www.doylesincar.com.au/
Cost All up Approx - $1600

And Carkitme
Jeep Grand Cherokee GPS | CarKitMe | Sydney
Cost All up - $1800 dollars

Here is a video of a HITV Touch Nav System in action in a MY2014 GJC

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB8ocDGO7Xw

The system uses iGO Primo Navigation.

My understanding is that the nav is activated by the steering buttons.

I have not had these systems installed so cannot vouch for them..however Hitv and NavTv have been around for some time...Doyle's is a respectable Car Audio/Entertainment and NAV Installer.

It would take a day to install.

Personally Im saving up my pennies for this! as Ive Just bought a jeep!

You can insert images into your post easily by clicking on the little image of the mountain and posting the images URL.
This makes it helpful for people to see it in the post rather than having to open the pics separately.

My research has been for Nav...so don't know about DVD's
...assume its just another input...however its best not to assume!

Suggest contacting tiago at navtv
tiago@navtv.com

and
hitv sales@hitv.com.au

or
Doyle's auburn - Simon

Please let us know what you find.

Re: MY2014 Aftermarket TouchScreen NAV For Australians

Enabling factory nav on a Larado would have to be a third the price of an aftermarket touchscreen solution to get my money. The factory nav just isn't that good in my opinion.

Cheers,
Steve
