First Oil Change
 
Well I did my first only change on her today @2300miles,

I used Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w-30 and a Royal Purple oil filter.

Reasons I chose those are, I read Chrysler only recommends 5w-20 for better gas mileage but they claim its for proper function of the MDS system. but after some more digging I found lots of people are using even heavier viscosities and claiming that their MDS is functioning perfectly normal. Also Mobil's EP 5w-30 out performs their 5w-20 in almost every category for protection and wear.

I went with the Royal Purple filter because I didn't have easy access to a AMSOIL filter, also I would choose either one because they use a nano fiber micro glass media instead of paper, and their endcaps are made out of metal instead of cardboard.

So doing this oil change was a piece of cake and a lot quicker then doing one on my old car "Volvo S40". I just popped off the plastic skid plate, spun off the factory filter by hand and then drained the oil pan. I did put the truck into OFF ROAD 2 just so it would be easier to crawl under there. so much nicer then having to jack then car up haha.

So I filled her up and took her for a nice long drive, and boy what a difference in smoothness of the engine. Quieter too! Im very happy with my overall experience.

Soon to be installed, AFE intake, Moe's 87mm throttle body and BT catch can.
