Goodyear fortera 20" tire pressure

The specs listed on the inside sill of the driver side door note the cold inflation tire pressure to be 36lbs. However, this would be for the stock wheels with 18" rims.

I have the upgraded 20" wheel wheel with goodyear fortera tires(P265/50R20). Does anyone know what pressure these tires should be set at? 36lbs as well or sometihng slightly different?

I think it is either 35 or 36 all the way around.

EDIT: just went outside and looked real quick - it's 36.

That's what I thought but they looked slightly underinflated.
Thanks LTrain:thumbsup:

They handle/wear better at 38-40 psi, I prefer 40. Factory runs them at 36 because most people are whiners who find properly inflated tires to be too bumpy of a ride.

I was having the shimmy problem, so the dealer was working on that issue...when I got the truck back, they were all set to 38. Prior to that it had been set to 36 since day1.

I agree, I run 38 in mine.

My Jeep dealer recommended cold (undriven) pressure of 40psi with the current daytime temps in the teens to 20's Farenheit.

I don't get it. 40psi at cold undriven, means when you drive it they warm up you be at 42-43psi...I put 36 in when cold and after driving it it goes up to 38psi.

Reminds me to air mine up, I noticed mine dropped to 29 in the cold NY air.
