UConnect app wishlist

To pass the time until Uconnect releases any apps for our system, I thought it would be nice to build a community wishlist of apps we would all like to see make their way to to the uconnect. Please add your wishes!

I'd like to see:

1. Pandora (like everyone else)
2. Chrome-to-Phone, especially for maps
3. Google NOW integration, so my car knows any addresses I recently googled.
4. Spotify
6. ESPN

notes:
Some of these can be done pretty easily using a mirroring type interface
The Google app could run locally in the car and use your google credentials to retrieve info using the onboard 3g.

Add your own wishes...

Re: UConnect app wishlist

The only time I am reminded that we don't have the promised apps is when I read about it here.

The nav works fine to keep me from getting lost.
The radio and sd card supply music.
The drive train gets me where I'm going.
The HVAC keeps me comfortable.

That's all I want from a vehicle. I am surely the minority ... maybe a minority of one. :)

3) isnt that the same as 2?
4) iOS7 in car would be cool.. or at LEAST a way to trigger siri from a button. simply hold down the VR till it beeps :)
6) ESPN is on SXM already isnt it?

Two.

The missus plays with a tablet on trips. I play with the steering wheel, gas, and brake on the vehicle--a rare and highly unusual concept called DRIVING!!! :slapfight:

I would like to see a way to be able to plan out a trip on google maps on the computer and have the trip sent to the car. Much easier to do a trip on the desktop.

Just give us the advertised apps please! That would be a great start!

I think the Lexus RX lets you program a trip that way and then download to the car.

Doesn't OnStar also have that ability? I thought I read that a few years ago.

I'd even settle for compatibility with POI loader via USB/Memory, but if Uconnect connect is available, de facto standard load/update right from Google Maps [or any other mapping app] would definitely be useful...

Re: UConnect app wishlist

Ok, my list:

1) Waze (Google Maps a second choice)
2) Google Music (w/ All Access)
3) Some type of Chrome mirroring might be good, it depends
4) Facebook/Twitter
5) A general mirroring app for whatever is on your phone (like miracast)
6) A weather app like Weatherbug or Weather Underground

EDIT: Google NOW integration would be awesome in general, not just for search history.

Adding another wish... A digital equalizer app.

I have an equalizer app that runs on my android phone that affects the audio output using preset music types, which works awesome. A similar app running on Uconnect would be pretty useful. Especially considering how many people are complaining about the audio quality of the system. This would give them some control over the output.
