"Clicking" Noise from middle of car
Hi everyone I have a quick question seeing if anyone knows a solution! I have a 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited with the v8 and I have a "clicking" noise comming from what appears to be behind and underneath the center console.. Transfer case? First started making the noise when I hit the throttle in drive now it's reverse, when I hit the throttle, and when it's coasting seems to be the worst. No noise when I'm park or idle so I eliminated any motor related noises.. It will also shake you to death when you hammer down on the throttle.. Sounds and feels like it's going to rattle the jeep apart... HELP! Thanks!

Did you get underneath and check to see if you picked up some debris?

Yes nothing I could see.. However stuck my hand up near the tail end of the transfer case and it got covered in oil.. Blown seal?

Did you check the rear propeller shaft joints? If they have a lot of play, it could cause vibration and noise.

Took it to dealer ended up being rear drive( propeller) shaft.. 2-6 weeks on backorder.. Great
