2014 GC heated Seats

Had anybody used the heated seats? The settings are high or Low, but the seat doesn't get very warm on High, and Low doesn't even feel like it's on at all. I have sampled all 4 seats and they're all the same.

Does anyone know, if I take this in for service, can the temperature settings be increased?

Is this with someone in the seat or not....all seats seem cooler unless someone is sitting on it forcing the heat to transfer

Yes, while sitting on the seat. I first tried the driver seat, then tried all other seats and they are all the same. I was thinking the temperature needs to be dialed up a bit.

Have you had somebody else try it? Maybe your butt isn't as sensitive as you thought it was.

I know that heated seats and hand warmers etc., have warnings for diabetics because of diminished nerve sensitivity.

it takes quite q bit of time, not just a couple minutes to get warm, try that while driving to see how it goes!

Mine work fine. Ventilation, too.

I agree, they are not very hot. My son had a 2005 WK, and had the same complaint. The dealer was able to increase the thermostat cut off temperature, via a software adjustment. Don't know if this is an option with the WK2's, and if so, if a dealer would be willing to do it. Worth asking though.

Whether they actually did it or not, they claimed to have adjusted the thermostat up.

I agree, that's what they did.

Sometimes patients given a placebo treatment will have a perceived or actual improvement in a medical condition, a phenomenon commonly called the placebo effect. ;)

They don't seem as obviously warm as the heated steering wheel, but they are warmer than "off" and don't seem to take more than a couple minutes to warm.
