jeep wj 4.0 tuner
 
I was wondering if any body out there has used the 3875 superchip on there wj 4.0. I know some people say its dumb to beef up a 4.0 and to just drop in a v8. but I think its pretty bad ass. there is a reason that semis use inline engines and not v engines. I don't like v8s for torque. my l6 has torque but I want a little more hp than what I have.so anybody think this tuner is an good.

How much is the superchip [i don't know that specific one, sorry] vs a stroker kit?

The 4.0 has a torque curve flatter than Nebraska and it comes on just barely off idle.
A well balanced stroker is quite smooth and powerful, with horsepower at the "surprise surprise surprise" levels if you go with a 4.9 or 5.0.

Will presume you've checked out headers to replace that atrocious factory manifold, plus a low restriction cat, and a catback, plus larger injectors to avoid going lean. The 4.0 responds nicely to all of those, but even more so to a 4.7 or larger stroker kit.
