Power Liftgate Question

Is it possible to have the powerlift gate 'lower down' on extra long cargo..ie lumber for example...without the liftgate reversing due to 'obstruction'. Thanks

Re: Power Liftgate Question

You can close it manually. In that case it shouldn't reverse.

Manually close it and tie it down with some rope.

What do you tie it to on the liftgate? There aren't any hooks or handles inside to prevent the liftgate from opening.

Re: Power Liftgate Question

There are brackets on the lower outside edges of the liftgate that rest against the rubber bumpers on the jam when the liftgate is closed. They have pass-through holes in them that I run nylon rope through and tie off on the floor tie down rings.

Never would have thought about the floor rings. I was thinking the hitch. I like your idea better.

Good to know. Thanks for the tip.
