Ah....the infamous HEMI tick I presume. Mobil-1 :), but was it 5W-20? WalMart also sells Mobil-1 in 5W-30 viscosity.

Mine seems to come & go. Worse on cold start. Doesn't always show up though.

Proabably depends more on the time of day and direction the car is pointing. :D

Its the lifters definitely. It should be more more noticeable on a cold start though. It is caused by the thick viscosity of the oil in a cold engine and quiets down after it is heated up and flows better.

I've got it too. It comes and goes

Re: Ticking noise

try using a product like z max that penetrates the metal and provides lubrication even at Cold Starts.

I changed the oil & filter yesterday (5W-20 full synthetic). Listened specifically after startup, while I was checking for leaks at drain plug & oil filter. Nothing.

Later, went to store, and I heard the "ticking" from the open driver's window, while backing out of the garage.

Mines been pretty loud at times too, Ive often thought somethings wrong, but all the Jeep guys say its just the Hemi! So i take their word for it, lol. At one point i heard there was a fix/ mod for this which helped... i dont remember tho.
